Dear BP, can ur team design a key, just one click, idenify all items in inventory.
Why? Because right click click click ......... is not smart. Thx

Have to agree but would be a button of choice to allow the ones that want, to still identify piece by piece.

No need. Only one button. Click once all things identified. -- OR -- you go to each page and right clickity clickity clickity clickity clickity clickity clickity clickity clickity clickity clickity cliclity clickity... on and on and on.

I was tempted to put in 94 "clickity", but just couldn't do it.

Agree with this idea 100%. The settings option would be very useful and streamline the process to its simplest.

What's the point of unidentified items nowadays anyways? Since CoT was removed long time ago alreay

The sorting feature in the locker and on-hand inventory is very helpfull at the end of a quest. How about a "identify all" button as well? Thoughts? Comments?

    Hello @AkrOyer
I've merged your thread with this one. Please make use of the "search" forum function.

    Cheers.

Maybe include toggles for item rarity.

I never ID green or blue, as I usually sell them, so this feature would be useful for these.
But I still enjoy the surprise of identifying uniques and legendaries one at a time. Like opening
    A birthday present ;)

-pokes thread- Well, at least one exists so I don't have to create it. :D

If I remember right, when they first removed CoTs they wanted to preserve the novelty of IDing an item and discovering its stats. I'd have to say several years later it's annoying, outdated, and slowly killing all the mice of DSO players.

    Frankly, I like this idea:
I already know for a fact that the stats of an item are already determined when you pick up an item, please allow us to skip the step of IDing altogether and just give it to us identified.

When you get end game uniques you'll be identifying those blues abd greens looking for gold line enchantments.

Hopefully in the last five months he's learned the value of Improved and Magic items.

Legendaries and extraordinaries are the least useful items to identify in the game. 99% of the time, they are only good for melt, and another 0.99% are only useful for junk items in crafting. On the other hand, if I find a blue or green with a high gold line, that is when I feel like I just opened a birthday present. For example, in the last two weeks I got two drops that got my attention. I got a blue helmet with 13.80% crit rate in a single line and a green with 13.79% crit rate. I was thrilled and was more excited by those single drops than if a dozen legendaries had dropped in their place. I'm remember those drops and am still crafting and working with those items, but a dozen legendaries would have just been melted and forgotten.

Got an alert by silverseas' post and scrolled up. Since I was on my phone while my wife was driving, I didn't see the previous post age.

    Ditto.

When you start crafting, you don't have the unique yet so your crafting to wear those legendaries. For me this means it must end with 3 or 4 slots cause I'll only ever open 1 slot on a legendary. During this time I've melted many many legendary drops with a gold line and 0 or 1 slot because they just don't help get to that 3/4 slot multi gold line.

Once you have your uniques, well then the whole game changes. Anything with the right gold line is useful. However, if you can start with greens and blues with 1 gold line and work up, the success rate is much better.

Note to dev's to the webmaster: The spell check here is terrible. It can't even understand the plural of either Legendary or Extraordinary.

You realize that is your browser's spell check, right? The forum doesn't have a spell check.

I personally ... want them unidentified so they can't mix up with my crafting ingredients. That is why I have suggested "on/off" option in the game settings ... so people would do whatever they prefer.

From newbie's perspective - when you start crafting you don't have neither legendary nor unique item. You would get the unique item quite easily ... and it can still take you months/years to craft a good leg item. Most of the good unique items are having decent enchantments that can substitute good leg item. Only leg item with 4x golden stats or leg item that will change the stats in favor to your preferred build can substitute those enchantments ... and that is a long long time ride.

From veteran's perspective - you already have unique item (probably crafted with leg item) and you don't need to craft it all over again ... all you have to do is get a new unique item on a higher level and transfer the old enchantments into the new unique item. Until then you would use the glyphed old unique item.

Therefore ... dropped legs and exo items are only good for gold/glyphs or junk items used in the crafting process.
