    Hi,
I really feel a little bit laughed at by drops of dust...
I finished the Maateristorm event this morning, got 13k but in all the (apr. 20 runs q2 fatal plus 1 time q3 fatal) I have a total of 175 pieces of dust?> I really really feel ridiculed bye this event...I would need something like 300 runs to complete? I guess I must be an (idiot)gamer to do this? Come on, this really sucks!!
Typically BP? Do they have a calculator to calculate how mauch will be needed?
    RIDICULOUS!!!
    ...to say the least.

    update: 1 run q3v fatal/total clearance: 13 dust, 1 run q1 fatal/total clearance: 9 dust!

BP is really trying to make this event unplayable???

I'm used to grinding, but thi really makes me sad, to stay polite...

A valid question I guess for te developers: what in heavens name are "worthy enemies" that will drop some dust??? If even fatal isn't enough to drop at least 30-50 a run??? 9? come on...I don't have the words to describe what I am experiencing- well I do, but it wouldn't be polite to say the least...

    Update: q4 fatal: 11 dust.

I really think BP should not make any events anymore that are really annoying and funtaking for players. This is for me almost an breakpoint to leave this BS.

Tried a mode 1 run (remember the last eveng with no drops-viscanium): 8 dust

What is the purpose of this????????????? I really am not amused by this.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING DIFFERENT MODES? JUST TO take away TIME AND MONEY FROM THE PLAYERS? It's useless...b.t.w., to play this event in mode1 is for me more than just annoying, it's futile; took away all the pleasure and seemes unfinishable. SORRy BP, this event is for me a 4 minus at best, more like total garbage in this form. Either you can change the droprates in the modes or please stop with this kind of stupidity.

Perhaps it's me? Does not matter which q, any mode, total clearances, never more than 13 dust/run. It must be me, right?

Questin: how come others have in mode1 runs appr.25/run mode1??

Please clear this up, cause I seem to be to stupid to explain anyway how this is possible.

Anmd yes, I am angry aout this event with dust. It's not the first time it's like this, there were many more times, but now I am really frustrated by this. I do not know anymore what the objectives are here for players.

I do agree with you . I grinded like 7-8 hours yesterday for 160 dust only.

Same to last dark dwief event but this time its worst grind wise .. I really wish to finish progress of an event without No-lifing..

To clear this up. It doesn't matter where you farm, as long as the enemeis are whithin your xp gain range +-5 lvls. Thats what worthy enemies means. It doesn't matter where you farm the droprate will be the same, so you need to farm in places where there are a lot of enemies of your level that you can kill quicly ex. q3 m1, at the top of the map. I'm clearing the first boss, the top of the map and reseting. That got me 100 drops/h.

Sorry, 100/h? where do you play? different universe? Just had a run q8 and 4 dust...^^
I clan q3 fatal map1 in about 3.5 min, but never got above 3-5 dust there. Let's say your'e really quick and make 20 runs/h...with this droprate I have mostly about 60-80/hour. And besides that, who will tell me this is fun to do? I must be somewhat off to even think about doing that...There's no fun there, only speedy runs with no profits. If the drops are the same I could go to lv 46-48, say Nahuatlan. That's sensefull? Sorry.

If you are only after the progress play Lor'Tac maps.
I tried it yesterday I get 30 progress (Bone Dust) in 6-7 minutes in Stillwater Bay

wow, its magic. i always forget how easy it is to farm these "worthy" type events in stillwater...

I prefer Nahua. More than that, don't forget the 2.5k anders buff for +10 per drop. By this way it's about 1k/hour, so it's a matter of about 4-5 hours to finish it, if you don't have so much time. ;)

As always, your mileage may vary: I farmed 26 progress in 65 minutes in a semi-tight tract in Stillwater Bay --> 161 hours to complete the event? I don't think so :p

I'd suggest that the devs tighten up the drop-rate range to be a bit more consistent between players, but they'd most likely decrease the top end to closer to what I gained instead of increasing the bottom end to closer to what Traki achieved, or bringing both top and bottom closer to the middle ground between Traki and myself.

Note: That included two 5x drops and two or three 2x drops. I stuck with the instance because the first mob I hit dropped one of those 5x and one of those 2x. (The instance was also fairly generouis with realm frags, anderrmant and low-level gems.) So, I just plowed ahead without paying attention to time until my free-space inventory was full of magic to legendary junk, only realizing it'd been over an hour after I jumped back to the Dwarven Expedition urban area.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

P.S. I just took 15 minutes to clear all of the mobs (other than the Miller) in Q3M1 (yes, my newish Lvl50 RA is still that slow) and picked up 7 bone dust ... extrapolate that to an hour, thats 28 progress in PW versus 26 progress in PVE map (Stillwater Bay). Yes, I got realm frags, gems and more ander in SB, but in the PW I got potentially useful Lvl50 gear (versus the Lvl45 junk I was picking up in SB).

Regarding poor drop rate, let me put it this way according to how DSO has been working for quite some time now: TIME = MONEY.
    - You want progress without investing andermant, you spend a lot of time farming.
    - You don't have time or patience to farm, you pay with andermant to shortcircuit the process (either buy buffs or buy direct progress where applicable).
    - To get andermant, you either invest farm time (money = time) or you pay for it with real money (conversion).

Now let's take this nice event at hand. You have two initial options:
    1. Ignore the event altogether - you're done. No other options here. You do your regular farm, maybe you drop some coins here and there but you don't care about them anyway.

    2. You consider the event of being important for you. Very important here, is to set expectations according to your budget (both time and money) and power level.
Note: If you want the full event, be prepared to invest. Rewards are just that... rewards. They don't fall out of the sky. You have to work or pay for them. Don't be an entitled brat and expect everything be handed to you just like that.

Now we get to the next question: Do you want tons of money to invest?
2.1. Yes. Then buy buffs, find a map where you can kill gazillions of monsters to repeat the process and if you are efficient you can be done in 4 hours with it. That's right... save yourself all the pain by paying 10000 andermant and investing 4 hours.
2.2. No way, I'm not paying andermant. Then be prepared to go the long way. Indeed, the process is very long and it doesn't guarantee you will finish on time. As I said above, if you're not investing andermant, you are signing up for investing TIME. Take it or leave it, if you don't want to invest either time or ander, setup realistic expectations and go back to point 1.
2.3. Go somewhere in-between. Invest for one-time boost to get 1/4 of the event done, then consider whether you can do it the long way or spend on another buff when you're close to running out of time.

But I have so much better stuff to invest andermant into
Good for you, then this event offers less important rewards than anything else you could buy with that andermant. Or you have all the time and patience in the world to go the 2.2. route.

    My path
I went with 2.1, and it's a problem of time for me plus not finding the andermant such a huge price really. The grind itself is quite awful too - though as it was already mentioned on the forum, you just do your regular farm and you get dust anyway.
Anyway, yesterday morning I had 5000 andermant. Since then I spent on three +10 and one +5 buff and I am done with the event. The farm in Q3 M1 earned me the rest of the andermant I needed anyway.
Not sure I chose the optimal path of course, but being very busy this week I just wanted this off my mind.
    And it's my personal choice.

You have many other choices. But don't expect to receive freebies every single time. Drop the entitlement!

Hi, during the start of the event I had 1052 anders. Only realising that you could buy a buff on the second day, I got on my dwarf, level 40, and quested for ander. I also gambled about 2.5k gold as well, for a little ander boost. During that second day I completed the event in 4 and a bit hours. The map I favoured was stonekeep map 1, just running on level 1. I cleared the map, except for the Miller, in 2-3 minutes, getting from 20-100 progress per run. I chose stonekeep due to its relatively small size for the amount of mobs in it, and it helps when they are all clustered together. Give this a try, if your short on ander for a buff, make a new character and get it to lvl 30-35, it would take couple hours or a day or two, but doing all the quests really gives your account some nice ander. You still have 2 weeks left, so leveling a character for ander is a very doable situation. Good luck!

did you really expect to get anything more with just 1 run?
this is a grindy game, you need to grind if you want to get stuff done

But, when you equip some strong essences, drop of bone c. is much better. And the masacre a group of mobs are required.

If you are referring to me as a "payer", I outlined how I bought the buffs with having only 1.6k ander at the start of the event. Farming and gambling for it is also available to the people who are free to play.
