about the winter solstice event...

was wondering for the upcoming event, winter solstice... will you make us fight like animals
again in wilderness areas by making that snowmans that drop 1-2x of those essences that were needed to finish the 2014 W.S. event?
i was unable to finish event completely last time because i didnt have the nerves to fight for them...

as long I tried ,this time the snowmen will be show individually for every player , so if You click it ,it will be gone for you but not for other player ,so no need fight each other again. but the respawn somehow longer than usual (more than 5 minutes ) , I think the best way to farm the essence effectively from snowmen you need run with at least 2 wilderness ,for e.g I take route kingshill -wild forest - slifmoor - troll canyon (3 wilderness), average I can get 200-300 essences per route (if not mistake 6 snowmen per map drop vary from 2x ,5x,10x,50x essences ).additional this time ,they will be add 3 challenges too except the main event progress.

 

No fighting this time ... every player has its own spawn cycle independent from the other players ... even from the players in the same group.
When you click the snowmen only you get the snow essences and no one else.

 

Will there be snowmen/snow essences in Lor'Tac or the parallel worlds?

 

It always seemed counterproductive to farm essence in areas way below your current level. After all, this is a hack n slash / farm till your eyes bleed game. Hopefully there will be some snowmen at least in the Lortac areas.

 

as long I tried ,so far still only in wilderness ,so for lortac there are snowmen in nahuatlan and twilight downs.

 

Snow essence farming in low level areas meant you were not getting knocked off your mount, which made it easier to control the tempo.

 

I get that, but shouldn't they improve upon the idea of sugar beets to drop in higher quantities in PW? Or maybe have the snowmen in PW spawn a miniboss snow man that drops a greater quantity of Snow Essence than the snow men in wildernesses? I like to maintain my usual playtime in PW while acquiring materials for events (like Realm Frags for instance).

I haven't played this Event in a very long time, so I'm a little hazy when it comes to the intricate details of how to gear up for this. I just remember hogging all the snow men on the map through patience and using the five minute timer reset while doing nothing else for my play sessions until I had enough.

 

All the level 50s who are bored of farming snow essence, try to do the same in LorTac wilderness instead of low level maps that is Twilight Dawns and Nahuatlan.
You can work on the achievements of killing elites in the map and farm snow essences along. 2 boring stuff combined together might be fun and interesting.
And for those who have already cleared all achievements, a player who has killed 1000 fleshwalkers and 1000 mummified mobs, farming snow essence isn't boring at all

 

The best way to farm snow essences are low level maps ... you can run and collect ... and kill some twinks on your way.

 

The last 2 days, Nahualtan has been relatively empty, only 2 elites and few minions. Drops have gone scarce in other maps as well.
The bonus codes for December are nice, but is DSO making sure we don't get too much? LOL
