    Please do not require coin to upgrade. Downgrade ok we can spend gold to keep the item but please do not require gold to upgrade item.

    So the idea is that you can remove glyphs from an item with gold? Well, of course that should be it as far as gold is concerned here, or else GoP would be deemed next to useless.

    Yes the same idea with removing a stone from an item. I think it will be 1 level at a time so the cost in gold might be lower as you go down.
