Fire Relics

Okay, so I've been working on the Fire Relic quest, part 2, which says I have to collect a magic flame stone from a furious protector of the path of fire. Fine. I just did my 8th run, having now killed 40 furious protectors.

When does this flame stone drop? When I've killed 100? 200? What's the ballpark figure here, especially since the other drops for this quest appeared after a reasonable amount of monsters were killed (ie, about 8-12)? This is worse than going after the red feather (or whatever it was); at least that didn't require essence.

On a related note: when will the Devs finish expanding the new quest entries in the DSO wiki, so I don't have to post a new thread every time I have a question (eg, the Fire Relic entry shows only part 1 of this quest)?

 

It's a random drop from a boss. I think the boss spawns once about every 15 minutes, but drops the goods 1 in 20 times on average. IMHO. It took me 3 days, about 6 hours total. Results vary. Good luck.

It takes a top level Admin to release anything meaningful about random drop %'s. Good luck with that, too.

"Devs" usually refers to BigPoint. The Wiki is pulled together by some dedicated and skilled volunteers, most of whom were burned to a slow, agonizing death at the stake by BigPoint's consistently bad programming and management decisions. I wouldn't expect a lot of enthusiasm or future updates on the part of Wiki, or its contributors, but that is their choice to make.

 

1 in 20 on average? At zero for 40, I'm currently inhabiting the far end of the Bell curve.

It took me 4 or 5 days to get that stone with my DK....

 

Update: 6 days / 60 protectors killed. Still no flame stone.
