why is everyone picking out little things in a topic, then talking about that?
i haven't once seen a topic stay on topic.
can we not read and reply anymore, its not a competition on who can find whats wrong in post.
if u can help then help,if u can't then dont reply.
i even done the same thing because i fall into your web of disaster and the game ******me off. because of lag and errors, cant play,so i come here, but only to see topics going off in all directions.
Big question is "where do i post this because every topic is scattered all over the place.
and why do i want to post "this" because u all pick it apart anyway and make it ur own Off topic.
lets just be helpful, its only a game.

Some of the folks that post come here simply to argue or get a sense of superiority by pointing out how wrong someone else is. So they scan through someones post, pick a line or two, quote it then derail the whole purpose of the post. They evaluate their own experiences with the game and life, and anything that is different is pointed out as wrong. So watch for the responses that respond only to specific lines and begin with contradictory language. Of course, when they attack someone or tell them how wrong they are the OP feels the need to respond to the allegation, next thing you know we're talking about something completely different.

Your observation is accurate and unfortunately there is no DISLIKE button to push which would be cool so we could vote some of these people off the island and change the norm to a more helpful positive one.

Hum... does it make me a troll that my first thought when I read this thread was "How can I go off topic on this one." :D:p

It sort of makes me smile that someone else caught that. So... how long do you think we have before the mods come in and start moderating?

The forum has 7 main topics and 25 sub-topics, with 100's, if not 1000's of main posts, plus all the follow-ups and replies.

Someone with something to say usually doesn't have to read the entire library first, to know where to post. It's not surprising that the dialog tends to ramble. Can you imagine reading the entire telephone book each time you wanted to make a call? LOL

It is interesting though, that some have a green light to talk about anything, anywhere, and to multi-post on the same topic, while others are heavily edited and censored.
Is there a good ol' boy network in play? Or maybe a few moderators masquerading as unbiased players?

One thing we can do as posters when others start to derail the post is to not reply to their comments. If you must reply to their off topic comments, start a new thread on that issue (but let's be constructive rather than accusative!). The other is, if you need/want to make a short comment on the derailed comment, do so but then comment on the original topic to try to bring it back online. We don't need the moderators to force us to behave. We can do it ourselves. :)

Funny thing is that significant amount of deleted off topic posts and repetitive new threads are from the OP.
@fourtwenty68 forgive me, this moderator doesn't want to be rude, but, @Mal3ficent is laughing with eyes wide open.
