Before anything else. Petition to allow me to revive a closed thread, Battle Epic Mounts as it was closed due to consistent off-topic responses.

    [Overview]

Guaranteed rewards post-killing Bosses are long-sought by the Community which is unlikely to happen to preserve the game's essence of grinding for rewards. This is the only possible solution to entertain the community.
    ______________
    [System]

Assassins are boss-like NPC's that hunt players in random locations (except Boss Rooms and Urban Areas) after eliminating their respective Masters, earning their respective Death Marks in the process.

Death Marks are a system used to denote that the player has been targeted for assassination in respect to the given tier of the Boss they killed.

Players will receive a Death Mark for each particular required kills. Upon attaining a death mark, Assassins will have a chance to spawn to the marked's location at 5% fixed rate on any location except Boss Rooms, Urban Areas and PVP Maps.
    _________________
Each Main Boss, by category has their respective Assassins.

Tier 1 Bosses: Bearach, Arachna, M'edusa, King Heredur (Normal)
Kills required to attain a Death Mark: 10

Tier 2 Bosses: Normal variants of Khalys, Herald, Frost, Gorga
Kills required to attain a Death Mark: 7

Tier 3 Bosses: Difficult Variants of Khalys, Herald, Frost, Gorga, Heredur
Kills required to attain a Death Mark: 5

Tier 4 Bosses: Mortis and Destructor
Kills required to attain a Death Mark: 2

A player can have multiple death marks from a single assassin and death marks from every assassin active at once. Death Marks of the same type from multiple players DO NOT stack--in a conventional manner, increasing the chances of that particular assassin appearing in a dungeon/wilderness.

But you can only have ONE-TWO Death marks at maximum. (which is at 10%)

Once defeated, the Assassins will drop occasional loots such as:
Andermants, Stack of Essences, Gems up to fourth highest quality, Coins and a Unique weapon or a Unique Costume and an emote or an Exclusive Cloak exclusive to the given Tier. (of the Assassin-In par with the rewards for PVP Quests)

The Exclusive weapons are unique only to the Assassins and doesnt scale to the player's level but to the Boss' dungeon level.
    _______________
    [The Assassin]

An Assassin will pursue ONE Target (Player) only and will ignore anything including summoned creatures (Wolves, Guardians, Trees) and Dungeon's Mobs alike.

If the targeted player dies, the Assassin will shift its attention to its party member or closest player within its vicinity.

If the targeted Player dies, the Assassin remains in his position until the target or the party the target is with leaves the map. Hence, blocking their way on the dungeon.

The Assassin, like majority of the Monsters has their own respective line-of-spawn and will return to its position (Full Health) upon breaking its proximal spawn point.

The Assassin remains unknown to the Monsters and can be, will be attacked.

    _______________

Closest example of favoured Assassins are:

    • Dragan's Vanguard for Tiers 1 and 2
    • Dragan-like for Tiers 3 and 4.
    • Evil Snowman/ Mad Santa for Tiers 3 and 4
or anything related to the Lore (on which we have to create one)
    ________________

    [Story]

From the Anderworld, the Dragon grew impatient of Heroes demolishing his champions and has sent his best to pursue anyone who threatens the Nefertarti Cult and their Plans.

No thanks. Don't bother the newbies peacefully playing the game. Only DKs can beat the bosses solo when one of those assassin NPCs come attack you.

The idea is to add spice and thrill upon achieving a Death Mark.

The Assassins tho, can be or will be attacked by monsters in your location.
    _______________

Plus, the Assassin's are scaled to the (Assassin's Master) Boss' level dungeon not to the player's level.

And there are many instances of Classes defeating Bosses from Nightmare lands alone. I personally have defeated (The First and the current) Dragan, Sargon a heck of times with my outdated and noob set.

I like all of this except the mad santa part lol .As a DK, fighting a dk .. he heals with his mighty wild swing much faster than I can dmg him ... thus he is always at max HP. We are not ranged fighters that can easily stay away from his swing and prevent him from healing. While my DK is not the toughest one out there ... he is no slouch and can solo all pws and bosses except khalys, mortis and destructor. So if a "Mad Santa" type assassin came after me ... there is no way, no chance of beating him.. This does not sound like fun to me.
Please, dont get me wrong, I dont think to kill one of these assassins should be a walk in the park, no, it should be a tough and exciting fight. But it should also be fight you have at least some chance of winning ...
My 2 cents worth lol ...
As I stated, I like this idea. Its seems very well thought out.
    Thanks, Doc.

I've been thinking about this.... So, as in the above scenario, you can't kill the assassin. You die. What happens when you revive? Is the assassin gone or does he come back, over and over? If he comes back.... and you aren't able to get assistance from others to try to kill the assassin, how does it end?

I love the idea, it gives a certain suspense and thrill to the game. Maybe the Assassians arent that OP as you listed, tune it down a bit, but overall, it sounds great. +1 From me. For example, after farming a certain boss, the team then goes in search of the assassian.

Maybe make the assassian a fraction of the boss that was killed? For example: You kill Mortis, the assassian would be 1/10 of his hp, 1/2 of his dmg.

    Again, great idea.

Mad Santa/Evil Snowmage is deranged. What about tweaked (Skill/abilities and speed) Commander Emberwing (of Tegan's fotress) with a Dragan AI, an embodiment of the Dragon from the Anderworld to pursue heroes. Sounds better.

What about Ezio Auditore for the Tier 4, better?
