Iron Dwarf flag running

    5v5 ctf,,
    this is lame with immune to everything u throw at it.
    i want to use my mount too if u allow this.
    or fly like superman for 15 seconds with the flag.
    oh and immune not to be allowed at all in Pvp.
    toughen up,take a hit,dont be a wimp.
    use health pots and buffs i dont mind.
    this is Crazy.:eek:

    The only effective defense against a dwarf is kill them before they get to the flag, or make sure you have your opponent's flag before the dwarf gets back to his base. Then, when his Iron Dwarf runs out, it is a simple matter for your team to kill him and your flag runner to get the point.

    The only other option is to block him. I use dogs and my body to interrupt his flow. Make him zig zag to get around you. Once he gets free its pointless. If delayed long enough his ID will run out prior to being back at his base and hopefully you or someone else is in position to make the kill. I don't begrudge Dwarves having the super skill. Its their one absolute forte, and I love that it makes you take notice when a dwarf is on the field for 5v5.

    You can jam him up between a wall and your body. Most iron dwarfs are too head-strong to back up and find a path wide enough to get through.
    You can nail him when the iron buff runs out.

    Don't hit him if you can't kill him ... with every hit he is getting more time for the skill duration.

    thx,i didn't know that.. i will one hit next time to check for immune,if no immune they dead!:D

    Ohhh wait ... now it says: Iron Dwarf Giant - Each enemy defeated while in Iron Dwarf mode will increase the duration of the skill by a second. o_O
    Probably they changed it ... it was with every hit not every defeat of the opponent

    Or you can use Wood Wraith to temporarily pin him down. I do this with DKs all the time in their Dragon Hide mode. The problem with dwarfs is you have to run way out in front of them before deploying the Wraith. Every second stalled counts and really does help in a lot of cases.

    Back on topic, the immunity and faster travel speed when activating Iron Dwarf is way overpowered and a tad bit too long. For PvP, I think it should be about 10-12 seconds instead of 15. I really have a tough time with very competent dwarfs who know how to steal and run off with flags.

    I agree, it needs to be reduced a little bit, 10-12secs seems good. 15 seconds takes them right into the heart of their base when unimpeded, carrying the flag at almost adrenaline-speed.
