why would u turn it off?
when u get great gear,"GOD Gear" it should glow, not blinding glow, but if u played other games good gear glows, right?
just would be nice to flaunt our Bling lol
and not use the %travel speed in urban areas Fairy,,unless u all like that lmao

There's enough visual chaos in the game, i would rather not have this, or at least the ability to turn it off

Agree. More colors and flashing lights would only appeal to recreational pot smokers with names like 420-something... oh wait ;)

TBH, It wouldn't really bother me too much if the effect was just a light glow.

It's been suggested in the past that weapons should glow in the color of the essence that you have equipped. That might actually be useful for checking to make sure people are using what they say they are against bosses. There used to be an effect like that, a long time ago, but the devs decided to turn it off I guess. Probably so people wouldn't scream REDS NOOB at the P2P people who were using them in PvP. They probably figured they could sell more essences if people could use them anonymously.

not the glow of ess colors,,just a dim glow of legend and unique,,or when u max out ur gear level,,lvl 50 glows.

Yeah, the essence thing is different than what you were suggesting.

I like the idea of essence glowing, goes to prove the acknowledgement that people needs reds to win. ^^

The point of a glow would be to appear different or unique, However; if everyone is different and unique, then no one is different or unique.

ok, but when i insert 5 gems in my wep it would be cool if it glowed, there is no absolute uniqueness here.
just a little eye candy for myself and others to achieve the same goal.
hey i opened my 5th slot for my gem,,hmmm yeah,,boring, didnt do much.
but if like that kinda thing, being plain and ordinary, have fun with that.

i see what ur sayin, but the point of a glow would be appealing,"eye candy" not to be different or unique.whats the word "COOL":cool:

Yep, I understand your idea. Its the reason people run around with their fairy pet on outside the cities. Oh so sparkly!!

Personally I wouldn't care if I looked like a pack of lifesavers holding a toothbrush for a weapon if my stats were good and I could kill what i wanted to kill.

Just different outlooks, I guess. But, as they say, it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round.

Personally, I do care about how my character looks, but I go more for realism. I don't like some of the over-sized weapons and armor (Dark Pauldrons, especially.) I'm not a big fan of flashing, glowing, etc - but some of it is OK.

I would have liked it if the dev team would have considered putting in an "appearance/cosmetic" page - where you could drop in equipment/weapons that just modified your appearance (while still wearing your good gear for stats) - but I made a detailed post about it a while ago and I don't think it's being considered. (Sorry, went a little OT there.)
